Robert A. Southworth, Jr. is a longtime resident of Little Boar’s Head and an advocate for preserving its rich coastal heritage. As a commissioner and historian, Rob brings a passion for storytelling, research, and community engagement. He is also the founder and president of The SchoolWorks Lab, a national nonprofit focused on educational innovation. With deep family roots in the area dating back to the 18th century, Rob is currently writing The Old Home Place: A Memoir of the Stories We Told About the People and Land of Little Boar’s Head. He is dedicated to helping neighbors connect with the past—and with one another—to ensure that Little Boar’s Head remains a treasured place to live and visit.
